NHPC Educational Qualification Details

According to the official notification from NHPC, candidates must possess a degree, B.Sc, BE/ B.Tech, M.Sc, M.Tech, or MCA from a recognized board or university.

  • Trainee Engineer (Civil) – Must have a degree in Civil Engineering/Technology or Engineering with a specialization in Civil Engineering.
  • Trainee Engineer (Mechanical) requires a degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Technology or Engineering.
  • The Trainee Engineer (Electrical) position requires a degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology or a Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
  • Trainee Engineer specializing in Electronics and Communication (E&C) with a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering/Technology or Engineering.
  • Trainee Engineer/Officer (IT) – Required qualifications include a degree in Information Technology Engineering/Technology, Engineering, or MCA.
  • Trainee Officer (Geology) – Holds a Master’s degree in Geology or Applied Geology at either the M.Sc or M.Tech level.
  • The position of Trainee Engineer/Officer (Environment) requires a candidate with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science.

According to the recruitment notification of the National Hydro Electric Power Corporation, candidates must not exceed the age of 30 years as of 26-03-2024.
